‘’The infinite from empty room’’
What would it mean to be involved in or to relate to something in this world?
The question made me think a lot this year. To get the answer and to keep the distance from myself, I
brought in new tasks to my daily life like reading and language study, apart from my field work. This change
made me to widen my viewpoint.
To re-view myself and the society from various viewpoints.
To re-examine one by one scenery with others from my past.
In same time to grasp an incident in simple way as much as possible and to interpret it.
Living consciously with above rules, a technique to proceed my life started to show up. I postulate myself in
a limited world, and see the limited world with bird’s eye view from my unlimited inner world. This helps
me to see a whole situation from various viewpoints including my position in this world.
In another word, the outer world turns into the inner world and spreads unlimitedly like a space by
experiencing something in outer world consciously and perceive it objectively. I guess that we get involved
in and come across and repeat this process forever and a day.
This scenery is a new series of my work ‘ ’ the inscape portrait ’ ’ , chapter 1 ‘ ’ The infinite from empty
room’’.
The infinite from empty room.
The train ticket gate in the morning, which is always new for me.
The impassive battle between them by crossing by.
We come across and scatter as pieces.
We meet in our inner world and leave our and ‘’their’’ traces in this society.
We cross and then the sceneries in the past come up.
They are the forms of our life.
They are the pieces of you, me and ‘’them’’.
We cross deeper and form new sceneries.
They have no limitation and are the overflowed particles.
They are each shot from each our room.
The world from this room is
An ochre topographic map seen from airplane
A color of air looked through a 15 cm gap
An unrefined blue color after an all night
Monochrome at busy ticket gate
We keep on watching unlimited ‘’them’’ from a window side, which is on the border from empty room.
